No Movescount Sync since 2020

Hi all,

I use RubiTrack 5 Pro and have configured the "Sync Manager" to auto-sync with Suunto Movescount. The last activity I was able to sync was from 31 Dec 2019. I cannot sync any new activities from Movescount to RubiTrack 5 Pro.

Anyone else has this problem?

I was hoping to stick to Movescount for as long as possible in 2020 before buying a new (non-Suunto) GPS watch. Suunto already removed the Movescount app from the app stores. Maybe they have shutdown the API which RubiTrack uses...?

Hello,

I can recreate the problem. I noticed that logging into the Movescount web interface produces an unsecure connection, maybe they let the server certificate expire. When that happens at the API access level the connection will fail.

I guess this will only be a couple of days until they fix that.

Thanks for the confirmation that it does not work for you either.

Movescount.com never had HTTPS except for login or user registration. I doubt this is the problem. Lets see what happens in the coming days.

After feedback from Suunto we were able to identify the problem, will be fixed in the forthcoming update (5.3.1) due for release next week.
