Hi,

not sure, if it works like all the other Garmins then it should work just fine. Maybe someone here who already got the device can comment.

Best Regards
Markus

Hi Nonkeljan

Quick questions:

1. Does the FR 645 work with Rubitrack? MacOS High Sierra?
2. Can RT download the data directly via USB or do you have to go via Garmin Connect?

THX!

Hi,

New Forerunner 645 M. Getting unreadable file error when I try to download runs from watch. Works okay when I create a tcx file from Garmin Connect, but I don't like the extra steps. Garmin 630 used to work flawlessly.

Looks like this on attempt to sync:

Can you take a look at this issue ?

Thanks

Sure, can you send the .FIT file over to support@rubi… via email, please? You can find the FIT files on the Garmin volume under

/Volumes/GARMIN/Garmin/Activity

or

/Volumes/GARMIN/Garmin/Activities

Hi Markus, Think I may see the problem, the 645 does not show up as a Volume or device on the desktop when using a Mac. There are a few other people trying to do this to save .fit files, and the reference is here:
https://forums.garmin.com/forum/into-sp ... 2-usb-mode

So, I don't know if the fit file is the problem, I could connect to a pc and send the file if you still want.

This is Garmin's take on why no Volume on the desktop

So, I don't know what the solution may be!

That's a real shame, but it looks like direct-sync isn't possible with this device. Maybe you have more luck using Garmin Express (which stores the data on the Mac, but also uploads it to GC).

I wonder if only the M version is affected or also the regular 645. Would be great if someone could comment.

Hi Markus.

It does sync flawlessly with GC, so no worries, I will do it that way from now on.

And, yes, from what I have read, its only the M version that is affected. I don't know if I recommend the M, Bluetooth connectivity is poor when running, hopefully it can be improved.

Thanks for your attention,

Guy
